Riley Sculpture WIP by WispyChipmunk Riley Sculpture WIP by WispyChipmunk
With the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts, I was inspired to turn that dog sculpture I made into Riley because he's adorable. It took another 5 hours or so just adding his gear to the sculpture I already made (which took about 6), so this is turning into one of my most time consuming projects so far lol.

Posting a WIP of it now because I'm really happy with how it's coming out so far and I want to show it off in case I screw up the paint job. :XD: I hope to have it finished in the next week or so!

Super Sculpey polymer clay, about 5" tall from paws to tip of ears.

Oh wow amazing! :'D How do you do all the details! I must take forever! Did you use aluminum (or anything else) to bulk out the body and head before applying polymer clay? :O

Haha, just patience, I guess! The details are what were the most time consuming. I did use a little aluminum foil to bulk out the wire frame, but I was afraid to add too much so I probably wasted more clay than I needed to. :XD:

Thank you very much! :)

LMAO! I've heard people saying that he's too strong or overpowered or whatever, but I actually think he's pretty balanced. I never had that much trouble killing them. :P

Amazing sculpture! Its incredible, the amount of detail you put into this piece. As for the coloration from the cooking, I think its very fitting, especially given Riley's breed. Again, great work!

Haha, well hopefully the paint job will make him look even better than his crispy ears do then.

Thanks so much!

Thank you! Yeah, some places on the body were kinda thick and needed to be baked a bit longer, so the thinner parts like the ears and tail got sorta crispy. :XD: The paint will cover it up, though, so it's no biggie.

I KNOW, RIGHT? I totally expected them to kill him off and I was already sad before I even started it. :XD:
